Patrick L. Beaudry
Senior Project Officer | Veteran | Public Policy PhD Student | Chess Entrepreneur | Tech Innovator
Welcome. I’m Patrick Beaudry—an experienced strategist, systems thinker, and lifelong learner committed to innovation, education, and community development.
I currently work as a Senior Project Officer supporting capability development initiatives for 2040 and beyond, where I focus on long-range planning and concept integration for emerging technologies.
My prior roles have included work as a Operations Analyst and Program Manager supporting Army modernization analysis. I contributed to projects involving science and technology forecasting, resource prioritization, and portfolio trade-space tools intended to support senior-level decision-making.
Outside of my professional duties, I am a PhD student in Public Policy, where I focus on innovation strategy, technology integration, and human-machine teaming, using chess as both a model and a metaphor for cognitive development and strategic planning.
I’m also the founder of Chess Virtuosity, a multi-platform initiative that includes:
- – First City Chess, a Leavenworth-based community club open to all members of the Leavenworth Kansas area
- – A scholastic chess program for students at our local public school “Knight School Chess”
- – ChessImbalances.com, a curriculum hub for strategic chess training – under development
- – And my own progress blog at ChessVirtuosity.com, where I document my path toward becoming a USCF Master and support others on similar journeys
I recently established Beaudry Projects LLC to support these ventures and organize future growth across digital publishing, educational outreach, and software development.
I believe in building things that matter—whether that’s better tools, better habits, or better communities.
