With that said if you use Google Reader you should be aware that it is going away today. http://googlereader.blogspot.com/2013/03/powering-down-google-reader.html. If you like to read several news sites I recommend you move your RSS files to a new reader as quickly as possible.
Lifehacker ran several stories on how to adjust and fill the Google Reader gap. This is just one of them. http://lifehacker.com/google-reader-is-shutting-down-here-are-the-best-alter-5990456.
Now the bit of advice for the rest of you. Virtually every web page be it CNN, FOX News or any other News site and Blog has an RSS feed. This means, that rather than just go to your website of choice every day you can instead set up an RSS reader to pick up the feeds.
Think of it as a way of creating your own Digital Newspaper. Personally I use RSS Owl, but there are other wonderful products out there. On my cell phone I use both Pulse and Feedly, I’m undecided on which one I prefer more.
In the future I’ll run a piece on how to set up and configure a couple RSS readers. Right now however I would suggest checking out the ones listed in the Lifehacker story. They are worth your while and will save you time when it comes to getting your news/gossip and otherwise read worthy information.
